Loan Coordinator for Business Programs
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing all loan closing documents
- Responsible for servicing all business loans
- Responsible for routine collections through personal contact with borrowers
- Responsible for maintaining and perfecting VCLF’s security position
- Supports Director of Business Programs
Job Duties:
- Prepares materials and documents for loan origination, closing and servicing
- Sets up borrowers files and keeps borrower files up to date and professional
- Perfect VCLF’s business loans and tracks the receipt of financial statements and insurance certificates
- Performs routine servicing of borrower accounts, including following up on delinquent borrowers and collecting payments
- Informs Director of problem loans
- Prepares routine status reports on all loans
- Prepares periodic reports to funders and investors as needed
- Reviews and acts on portfolio compliance issues as they arise
- Sets up semiannual loan portfolio monitoring
- Assists loan programs as needed
- Organize, prepare and take minutes for the Internal Loan Team and Business Loan Committee meetings, ensuring the presence of a quorum to discuss new loan applications
Qualifications:
- High degree of organizational skills, working with a minimum of supervision and multi-tasking.
- Batchelor’s Degree or three year minimum of applicable experience in the administrative field.
- Experience in loan packaging or loan servicing, insurance or paralegal is desired. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education.
- Knowledge or experience in collections, managing loan portfolios, lending practices, real estate finance or experience within the insurance or paralegal field.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, under deadlines and keep a sense of humor.
- High degree of organizational skills, working with a minimum of supervision and multi-tasking.
- Working independently and analyzing and solving problems.
- Effective writing and phone skills.
- Computer and database skills.
- Working in a team environment.
- Has a commitment to social and economic justice.

Marketing and Communications Manager
Position Summary:
The VCLF Marketing and Communications Manager is a member of the Development Department and is responsible for marketing the Fund and its investor and borrower programs. The position works closely with the Director of Development and Executive Director. This position reports directly to the Director of Development. This salaried, non-exempt position, based in Montpelier, Vermont, is full-time.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and implements the annual marketing plan and schedule of communications;
- Creates and/or manages the creation of all printed communications, including annual report, newsletters and brochures;
- Writes copy for external letters, brochures and articles;
- Writes copy for investment and annual appeals;
- Coordinates mail appeals;
- Maintains VCLF web site;
- Coordinates radio, print & other media advertising;
- Coordinates event planning;
- Coordinates presentation materials and displays;
- Prepares and distributes press releases;
- Other marketing and development duties as assigned by the Director of Development.
Organization Description:
Self-directed individual with at least three years’ experience in communications, public relations and/or marketing. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be extremely adept at oral and written communication. Ability to work in fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects at one time. Must have commitment to social and economic justice and a strong interest in community development finance.

The Vermont Community Loan Fund (VCLF) is a statewide nonprofit community development financial institution whose mission is to strengthen Vermont by providing equitable access to capital for affordable housing, community facilities, and business and economic development. VCLF does this by providing loans and technical support for affordable housing, community facilities, child care and local businesses. The capital we lend comes from investments into the Loan Fund from individuals, families, corporations, foundations and other nonprofits committed to our vision of a stronger, healthier communities and families. VCLF provides approximately $5 million in financing for Vermonters each year and has made loans totaling almost $60 million in our twenty-two years of service.

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Range of $30,000-40,000. Benefits include paid vacation, health insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan and flexible spending account.
